finding pressure gradient?

Hi all,

I've got a steady-state solution for a very basic flow problem and am trying to get Fluent to tell me the pressure gradient at places like the outlet or a surface, for example. I see dp/dx listed in both the "Plot" and "Report" menus, but for some reason it always just plots or reports zero. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? (Or maybe that's not even the right thing to be trying??)

Many thanks, Lauren

Re: finding pressure gradient?

try plotting it for the surface inside the domain, you might be trying to see gradient at the face of outlet or at outer surface for which fluent has zero values. solver does not calculate gradients for these surfaces, and interpolate the values from gradeints inside if the values at surface are needed.
