Turbulence model parameters

Hi,

I'm running my simulation using the k-w turbulence model. I have a specific complex geometry that I'm using for my simulation. How do I calculate the appropriate turbulence parameters k, w, etc to accurately fit my model? And how do I verify the validity of those parameters?

I now that the default values present in Fluent are a loose fit, but then how do we change them to fit different geometries and simulation conditions?

Thanks.

Vidya

Calculation procedure is given in users guide.

Re: Turbulence model parameters

Hi,

I went over the Fluent manual and found that it only lists the various turbulence models, the adv and disadv of using each, etc.

I didn't find the calculation procedures anywhere. Am I missing something somewhere?

Thanks.
