query on valid entity

I tried to mesh my model using volume mesh but when i state my boundary conditions and tried to export to fluent, i met with this warning: boundary entity inlet does not contain any valid entity and is not written.

Anyone knows what does it mean and how I should rectify the problem?

Could you please tell a little more about your geometry?

Thanks, Shanti

normaly it happens whenyou are trying the bc on the surface having mesh at both the sides, by default fluent wants a one sided mesh fpr a wall and mass flow inlet, otherwise it shuld be a interior.

please let me kno if it works mail me @ sachcool80@gmail.com

Hi...

Im trying to model the air flow in a pressurized staircase area, so my model will be similar to a room with inlet and outlet.

Mm...how do i check if there is mesh at both sides? I created the mesh by using the volume mesh function.

Sharon, there are many ways one of is as follows;

do the following 1) view the common plane to both the volumes by turnning off the one of th evolume 2) you will see the mesh mismatch at nodes let me kno if this helps to identify
