yplus=o???????,in wall function,kepsilon,need help
flow of water, steady and isothermal case, kepsilon, wall function:standard yplus =o------ whats the problem? best regards

Re: yplus=o???????,in wall function,kepsilon,need
is there any sepration in the region of y plus 0?

Re: yplus=o???????,in wall function,kepsilon,need
I don't understand your question

Re: yplus=o???????,in wall function,kepsilon,need
when did you check the y+, before the Iteration or after it?
|
Re: yplus=o???????,in wall function,kepsilon,need
after converging of results(after iteration)

Re: yplus=o???????,in wall function,kepsilon,need
Hi!
Are you sure, that it is = 0 ??? it might be so small, that the resolution in the plot window make it appears like 0. Maybe, you are not plotting yplus on a wall - BUT it is only defined for a wall!! In other word: are u sure, that the bondary you used for plotting it a wall?? Another reason might be the plot direction. If you have a wall that is parallel to x-axis, and you plot on y-axis, Fluent returnes 0. Hope, it helps - I don't see any other explenation... Ralf |
Re: yplus=o???????,in wall function,kepsilon,need
y plus is calculated on the basis of shear stress. in the region of sepration therefore yplus(for wall fuction) = 0 . therefore i asked that are u reporting y plus 0 for the region of sepration of attached flow. hope u understand my point

convergence problem while using pressure inputs
I get convergence problem for incompressible flow when i use boundary inputs both in terms of pressure. I even reduced the relaxation to 0.1 for all the terms still i get the same problem. Anyone help me on this.

Re: convergence problem while using pressure input
maybe you have reversed flow problem. check your operating pressure
