Dear Friend you are really in bad luck, because how to enable 2d les i could find out from a 'Aero-Acoustics noise using LES ' tutorial. And due to hard disk crash I lost all the data relevant to fluent tutorials and other docs. So i can not mail you that. But if you try to search the fluent tutorials of version 6.18 or before you might get that tutorial. More than this I am afraid I can not do.

its easy: start fluent 2d

go to command prompt of fluent and type letter by letter (exactly with () ):

(rpsetvar 'les-2d? #t)

it should work, i have done it many times.

we did not do nothing much:

look at the command

(rpsetvar 'les-2d? #t)

rpsetvar is scheme command for setting a value of a variable, we set the value of variable les-2d to t or true.

or in other words we enable the les-2d, using the command in () is syntax of fluent. By the same way you can enable lot of things, if you want to explore it, there is a way to do it,

take a very small mesh , may be 100 cells odd, setup a case and save the case as ascii from fluent.

open that case file on word pad, you can figure out lot of such variables doing lot of stuff.

try it, i learnt a lot from it
