multiple body problems (really trivial)
Hello all, I am just learning Fluent and have a simple question. I need to model a baseball travelling through air. The ball is both translating and rotating within a volume of air (think curve ball in a baseball game). I would like to model the ball as one solid, and the volume of air around it separately- then apply a rotational boundary condition to the ball and the fluid flow from one end of the volume of fluid to the other. Does this all make sense, and if so, can anyone recommend a tutorial or article to follow? (or just straight instruction, but that's asking too much). Thanks

Your approach seems OK. Use a velocity inlet and a pressure outlet, and run an incompressible simulation (I suppose the Mach number is well below 0.3).
