BC :pressur inlet

Hi all, how to set total pressur inlet and total temperature inlet in incompressible flow entring pipe i have static temperatur, static pressur and nember of Re.

thanks for all

Re: BC :pressur inlet

Hi for incompressible flow,we have; p0=p+.5dv^2(1) h0=h+v^2/2 or cpT0=cpT+v^2/2 thus: T0=T+v^2/(2cp)(2) where p0=total pressure,p=static pressure,d=density,v=velocity magnitude,T0=total temperature,T=static temperature,cp=constant pressure specific heat coefficient. since velocity and static temperature are known, using above equations you can find p0 and T0.Note that for incompressible flow cp=cv=c(approximately)and you can use equation(2)for both liquids and gases.Re=VD/v wher V=velocity magnitude,D=pipe diameter,v=cinematic viscousity coefficient Re,D and v are known thus:V=Rev/D.
