Problem when I use Mesh Type"First Length"in Gambi

I am doing a simple CFD simulation of airfoil (and I try to follow the fluent tutorial steps posted in Cornell University website), and I use Gambit2.1.6. After I created the geometry, I tried to mesh the upper edge of the airfoil with Type "First Length". The program downed and my computer hanged. After, I tried with "Last Length", the same result happens. I also try to do that in other computer, they also give the same result. But if I used Type "Sucessive Ratio", there was no problem. Why does this happen? Hope someone can give me some advices on this prolem. Thanks Jonathan

Yes, I use windows machine. I also found that when I mesh other edges like a straing line boundary, there is no problem to use Type "First Length". So I just think it is strange that when I use "First Length" in airfoil, it just make Gambit down.

I also use other files as well, is it related to the vertice of the airfoil coordinates?
