Sarah

First: Solve>Initialize>Reset Statistics This is to reset previous statistics, first time is not necessary

Second: Solve>Iterate There you have to active: Data Sampling for Time Statistics.

Depend your problem you need some time steps without Statistics before run the Data Sampling.

that's all

Good Luck

in 3d case, you could select from GUi. In command line, use viscous/model/large-eddy-simulation in 2d case, it could be activated through a command, search thsi forum. SOrry I forgot the command.

Dear hugo,

Thanks for you reply!

However, I want to get the mean velocity and RMS through UDF and thus I'd like to know which command I need to use.

Regards, sarah

hi, I have the same problem as you. From my point of view, the mean velocity can be plot in xy plot. As for the RSM, you have to use custom field function, i.e.[u'v']=[uv]-[u][v], but I don't know how to use custom field function calculator.

Do you have any idea about it until now?

Regards Justin
