Unstaedy simulation-A simple question
Hi..
I am simulating an ejector problem with fixed volume for the secondary chamber. I need to plot the pressure history inside the fixed volume chamber. Well.. my doubt is, How do I know that the inner iterations are converged? I have checked the fluent mannual and ofcourse, this forum also. Fluent mannual says that, the computations will proceed to the next time step only if the inner iterations are converged. In this case, can i assume that since, as along as, I am not getting any warnings/the solver is working fine, my time step is small enough for the inner iterations to converge properly? Thanx for reading Rajesh |

Hello,
I am also working on same project ejector would you please help me, thank you |
Dear Rajesh
For simulate the steady state problem, i calculte the problems until the residual show no longer change. In similar way, to ensure the solution is converge each time steps, you should check out the check convergence for all quantities in monitor tab. Then, increasing the maximum number of iteration per time step before you solve the problems. This may be take more calculation time. However, the given solutions are converged. For my experiences, i does not check out the check convergence. But, i increase the residual of each quantities instead and set more number of iteration per time step. I hope this information can help you. Good luck, Eakarach |
