Hi everybody,

Can anyone help me please. I have to define the specefic heat Cp for the liquid phase and another value of Cp for the solid phase of the same material (Galium). But when I try to define that, fluent allow us to put just one value of Cp.

Can anyone tell me how to define the two values please ?

Please stop creating the very same thread on multiple places in the forum.

There is melting/solidification model implemented in fluent, look into user guide and theory guide, maybe you can use it for your application. Otherwise your question is not specific enough to be answered.

You may try to use piecewise-linear profile (instead of constant) for Cp and define specific values for corresponding temperatures

On the other had you may use UDF, however, this is much more complex way.

Best regards

Thank you very much. I used piecewise polynomial and it works perfectly. Thank you again.
