Recording Temperatures at a node or location

Hi,

Is it possible to record the temperatures at a particular node or location as a function of time during an unsteady simulation?

Thank You Venigall

Yes ..its possible.. Creat point from "surface>point"..If you know the x,y coordinates of the point where you need the temperature history, give the coordinates..or you can display the grid and creat the point with the mouse. Then go to "solver>monitors>surface"....give a particular window number for your plot in that check "plot/print/write" with "Every>timestep" ...go to next page by "define"... "Report of>temperature" "Surfaces>"select name of your point "Report type>vertex average/facet average"...(read manual!) "X axis> Flow time" "Plot window> number of the window you have givem in the first page File name> name of your temperature history file...

that's all!

Hope thus helps

Rajesh
