cross section visualization

Hi, Does anyone know how to view the velocity contour of the cross section of a model? Thanks in advance!

Hi Create a surface wherever you require by Plane Surface in Surface menubar. Then plot velocity contours for that perticular section.

I heard from my prof tt there's a slicer kind of thing tt can just slice the cross section. Do you know about it?

You can used Display->Sweep surface, but I'd recommend creating fixed faces unless you plan on creating animations based on sweeping the surface. Moving the face is essentially creating a new interpolation plane and destroying the last. If you have to make multiple plots on the same surface, then you end up wasting a lot of time and computing power using the sweep surface. But if your goal is to make an animation, or if you're using it to scan back and forth across a feature, then a Sweep surface will work pretty well.

Good luck, Jason
