Default Laminar flow or Turbulent flow

Hello

I am doing a research about heat transfer on dimpled plate. Air flow condition is laminar flow region (Re1500~3000) So, I chose laminar flow for viscose setting.

I checked flow velocity inside of dimple. I expect that there would be vortex inside of dimple. But, there is almost no effect of dimples.

In that case, can I use turbulent flow to check the vortex? If I use turbulent flow model, which model can I use? (k-e or LES)

Thank you
