FLOATING PRESURE OPTION

Hi

I have a closed cylinder -piston arrangement and would like to compress the fluid inside . The Floating pressure option seems to be only available if I specify the segregated solver and an ideal gas. i am using a UDF(for movement of piston) to compress the gas. This only works with coupled solvers. Is there anyway to force the floating pressure option IN COUPLED option ?

oR IS ANY OTHER OPTION AVAILABLE FOR COUPLED ONE ?

thanks in advance

Re: FLOATING PRESURE OPTION

in this proublem, first of all how much pressure rise u want, if the pressure rise in compression is more then only you have to use coupled solver, for normal pre rise no need of coupled solver, segregated solver is sufficient

there is lot of prblm with courant no in coupled solver, read the manualm carefully

hi thanks for reply

Their is a large rise in pressure (it is very essential to get the desired result) in compression.so coupled is required. would u like to suggest any alternetive method ?
