Hi all: Can anyone guide me to how can I make the flow fully developed from the inlet of the pipe (i.e. No change of velocity profile in the x-direction) because I have a paper with fully developed two phase flow and i need to predict the liquid holdup for this case.

Thanks JAS

You can use a UDF (refer FLUENT manual) or just extend the inlet upstream so that you have an addtional pipe length of 5-7 times diameter.

Hope it helps.

1.UDF if you have the profile data. 2.extend the inlet section for at least 5 time of the characteristic length, diameter in this case. 3.import profile from a full develop flow pipe.(favourite way).
