A QUESTION ABOUT CONVERGENCE

Hello,
My question is abut convergence. Let's consider an analysis of a simply modeled flow in 2D. And let the subject be the flow around an obstacle. By default, the residuals for convergence are set to 1xe-03. And let's say we have a condition that has converges in this case. What are the possibilities of divergence while we decrease the residuals each time by 0.1? A satisfactory solution is obtained for 1xe-03 case. And same for 1xe-04 case and so on. Where do we decide that this condition is ok? Or is there a possibility of divergence, for example in 1xe-07 case? Anyone experienced this sort of condition? Thanks in advance. Good day... |
