Default how to ensure convergence for DPM

Hi all I have a converged case for flow. In the flow fields, I inject inert particles. I observe sharp spikes in the continuity residual plots for the DPM iterations. Should the spikes decay as the DPM phase trajectories gets converged.

Please help me in assessing the convergence of DPM runs( for just the trajectory) . Is there any criteria

Thanks Soubhik
