Hello,
I am trying to simulate dynamic operation of a control valve in a piping segment using dynamic mesh. My piping segment has a pump providing constant pressure at the inlet and control valve regulating the outlet flow/pressure. To simulate this I gave constant pressure as inlet and outlet vent as outlet. I know this may arise to unstable answer, so is there a better boundary case to this problem? Further, I am trying to see water hammer/surge during the dynamic operation of the valve. I have taken small time step and applied compressible liquid property but still not seeing any pressure surges. Am I missing something here in the formulation? Thanks in advance |
