Default ICEM Blocking 2D and Fluent error

I'm working on a 2D grid in ICEM with pure quad cells using the blocking facilities in ICEM HEXA. My "premesh" looks fine and after I have right-hand clicked and choose "Convert to Unstructured Mesh" I save the mesh as 2D Fluent mesh using Fluent_V6 output solver.

But when I try to load it in Fluent 2D I end up with this error:

> Reading "C:\CFD\laval\fluent.msh"...
44642 nodes.
43886 quadrilateral cells, zone 12.
87017 2D interior faces, zone 13.
260 2D wall faces, zone 14.

Building...
grid,
Error:
FLUENT received fatal signal (ACCESS_VIOLATION)
1. Note exact events leading to error.
2. Save case/data under new name.
3. Exit program and restart to continue.
4. Report error to your distributor.
Error Object: ()

What am I doing wrong?

With pure 2D meshes in Hexa - make sure all the bounding edges are projected/associated with the appropriate bounding curves. These LINE elements thus generated are attached to the region/zone names for the boundary conditions in Fluent. Without the LINE elements there are no attachments for boundary conditions in a pure 2D mesh. (These are similar to the surface elements - quads/tris - for a 3D mesh.)

Make sure that all the boundary curves are attached to the mesh. Sometimes the mesh is perfect in ICEM but fluent complains if you have any boundary curve in case od 2D or bounday surface in case of 3D extended outside the mesh boundaries. In the inlet, for instance, make sure that you have only one boundary curve. If you have any curve in vorfen, try to trim and remove it.
