Default Blades for cluster?

Is anyone running blade servers for cluster computing?

I would think the backplane of the blade chassis would be better than gigE, but substantially cheaper than Infiniband.

My other choice is either HP DL380 (Intel) or DL385 (AMD) with gigE. Thoughts?
