Pressure Coefficient in X - Direction

What is the relationship to calculate the static pressure in the x direction (assuming x,y, dimensions)?

I wish to contour plot Cpx to visualise sources of pressure drag more effectively.

Would the pressure in the x direction be...

Px = (Total pressure) - (0.5*density*X-Component_velocity^2)

Then Cpx = (Px - Pref)/qref

Could someone please clarify how to go about obtaining x-direction pressure coefficients.
