DPM residuals for sampler
 

First of all thank you all for your help. I have asked so many questions and as of yet have not fealt confident enough to give any advice.

Now for my new questions if you all will be som kind as to offer a little more help. I am simulating a cyclone sampler. I have allowed the continuous phase to converge to e-6 (we are still in the preliminary stages). The flow is assumed to be steady state for now. I then set the DPM for steady state particle tracks. I have enabled interaction with the continuous phase and said update source terms every iteration. I am doing 1 DPM iteration per 40 continuous phase iterations. Also I am doing a surface injection.

My first question is does the above procedure seem reasonable? My second question is how do I know when the particle tracks are converged? Once I start my iterations with the DPM on the residuals jump up and oscilate about 7e-4 with amplitude of about half an order of magnitude. Will these residuals ever come down or does the converged solution have oscilating residuals.
