Problem with DPM interaction in a coal burner

Hello. Iīm modelling a coal burner using non-premixed combustion and DPM interaction. The number of continuous phase iterations is 40. The problem is everytime that Fluent make the interaction between both phases, residuals reach very high values, I mean 1*10e+2. Then residuals (continuity) decreases until next interaction happens, taking then up again to 1*10e+2. The solution canīt converge. What can i do?

In fact, I donīt understand exactly what make Fluent when I activate interaction in DPM. How does Fluent make a discrete phase interaction?

Thank you in advance

You're on the right track. It has to be done like that. You just have to increase the continuous phase iteration number so that you will get an overall convergence. Contact Fluent and get some Coal Combustion tutorials.
