Error in memory

Hi, I'm working with a 3d simulation with 1632823 nodes. i have this error when i try to iterate Error: 1000000: Failed to allocate 70.02MB memory (..\..\src\amgif.c:1068)

I've tried in two different computers, one with a 1 Gb of RAM, OS= winXp, Intel pentium 4 CPU 3.8GHz and other with 2 Gb of RAM, Os windows vista, intel core 2 duo CPU 2.2 GHz . However the error continues!!!!

what can i do for run the simulation?

Re: Error in memory

Are you using a polyhedral mesh? The cases I tried use an enormous amount of memory, so I gave up.

Re: Error in memory

the mesh is a structured mesh, conformed by hexahedral elements. the volume have a boundary layer. i tried with the pressure solver and density solver explicit and implicit.

Re: Error in memory

Hi, I had the same problem. Initially my mesh was about 3E06 nodes, than I reduced to 1.5E06 nodes and still I had the same memory allocation error, using a dual core 3GHz each with 4GB RAM. With the same mesh and using the two CPUs in parallel I was able to run the simulation. I Hope this help.
