dynamic meshing

Hi All,

Does anyone know how to turn on the in-cylinder option under dynamic mesh panel? I check on the dynamic mesh box, but then when i try to click on the 'in-cylinder' option, it doesnt work. Any ideas? Eg, does it have to be in 3d case? or the model has to have a volume etc?

Thanks

Hello,

I was just wondering what do you use Dynamic Mesh for? What kind of application?

Thanks a lot!

For when the model you are modelling does change with time, like oscialltion of cylinder, which is what i am currently doing.

what is your fluent version? Because It works for me, in a simple 2D square domain... however I don't know how to use it :) do you have any idea about using dynamic mesh in melting problems? if there's anything you know - or know someone who can help me - will you let me know please? tnx
