Subcooled boiling
Can someone tell me what subcooled boiling is? I have a problem where inlet "liquid temperature" is 177C with 20c subcooling? Can water exist like that? If so what properties of water should I assume?
Thanks CFdtoy |
Re: Subcooled boiling
Water saturation pressure at 177degC is 0.95MPa, at 197degC (which is 20 degC subcooled from 177) the pressure is 1.5MPa. Hence, the conditions for your case are temperature of 177degC and pressure of 1.5MPa which is subcooled.
