Flow over axisymmetric cone cylinder configuration

hi. i am a B.E. student and my final year project is about analysis of flow around a axisymmetric cone and cylinder configuration using Fluent. I have to use the tubulence models for above purpose. I have used the 1 equation and two equation model but the problem that i face is that when i use the axisymmetric solver the contours of pressure and velocity don't seem to be correct. When i used the 2d solver for the same purpose the results seem to be quite decent enough. can any one help in this regard? I will be very thankful.

Re: Flow over axisymmetric cone cylinder configura

The gecmetry is above x axis and starts at (0,0) and all dimensions are in cms.

Mach No. : 3.5 Angle of attack : 3.06 degrees

Material : ideal gas

Solver : 2d axisymmetric, coupled, implicit

Models : 1 equation and two equation

The problem is that shock wave starts to form far form the body in this case. While if I use the 2d solver for the purpose shock waves form at the body.
