Phase Change ....!!

Dear CFD Users

I am solving Phase change problem, but I don't know how proceed this, please give me some suggestions. My Problem as follows

... Liquid Nitgogen filled in an open (top side) tank and the other tank walls are insulated. The liquid nitrogen gets vaporated due to atmosphere temperature. Here liquid nitrogen is partial filled in the tank.

I want to know how solve this problem in FLUENT Please give me some suggestions

Your suugestions are appreciable Thanks in advance

regards

Re: Phase Change ....!!

I worked with Fluent to model evaporation at the interface of a sphere. The interface is considered as a boundary, I set a first arbitrary flow rate. Temperature and vapor mass fraction were set in agreement with Clapeyron law, through a boundary conditions profile, provided by an external program in Fortran. Computation of the flow gave me the species gradient, from which I deduced a new mass flow rate according to species conservation at the interface. (in an other external problem too) And I did 2 or 3 iterations until I got same flow rate as boundary counditions and deduced from flow calculation.

Concerning your problem, if interface remain fix, you can split liquid and gas phase, interface is therfore a boundary coundition for each one. And write a program which ensure equilibrium at the interface, dealing with exported or imported boundary profiles.

Re: Phase Change ....!!

Thank you Mr.Bruno, I hope I understand your explanation. But I am not good enough in FLUENT. Could you give me any related tutorial in FLUENT and UDF to approach this problem

Thank you once againg for your good explanation
