Particle tracking : always same picture

Hi, I have run a simple steady 3D simulation of a flow (water) around a bluff body ; after it has converge. I can plot the plath lines from anyware in the CV. Now I want to see what happen with a particle like wood (diameter 5cm) :1-I define a injection point in the CV, as single point , give a the the velocity of the flow...2) and than plot : Display->partcle tracks : it draws me a line of the window (with this on Fluent Cmd line :number tracked = 1, escaped = 0, aborted = 0, trapped = 0, evaporated = 0, incomplete = 1) 3) AFTER running more simulation (500), I plot again I still have the same line as nothing as happen. what is wrong (I expected the line to be bigger and follow the flow). THanks for anykind of help PK

Do unsteady state analysis. It will give a better picture of movement of wood ball in water wrt time if that is the objective of your exercise.

You also may need to increase the max. number of steps in the tracking parameters field.
