XY Plots for different cases

Hi guys,

Is it possible to draw an xyplot mixing data for different cases? I mean, the same Y axis and the same x axis, but each curve for each case (for example, to contrast data about the pressure distribution for different velocities at the inlet).

I know I can export to excel, but prefer fluent's plots.

To export curves to excel is no problem with the Write to File option in the plot menue. Do i understand it right that you want to plot results of two or more different .dat files in the same plotwindow? Maybe there is the chance with display / scene / overlay but i newer tryed that with different files. hope that helps Gernot

Yes, I know how to write to file and work over excel. but I prefer fluent's plots and I wandered how to add curves (belonging to different case files) to the same plot. It would be very interesting, don't you think? in the same view, for example, skin friction coefficient in the same pipe and the same boundary conditions for different materials (water, oil, whatever...).

Write each plot to a seperate .xy file, then load them together at "Plot-> xy plot -> load files"

Thanks man, I didn't think in that! :)
