hi,

how to simulate the heat generated by people in a room? is that sufficient to specify Source Terms in the Fuid (air) panel under Boundary Conditions?

Thank you for your help!

The purpose of the simulation is to determine the rate of change of temperature in a room with a number of people. it is a transient problem. I know the heat rate generated by a human body, so the boundary condition for each body is a volumetric heat source and therefore I need a volume to model the human body. since the heat generation may not be uniform inside the room, I created randomly dislocated volumes inside the room. I'm not interested in the flow around the bodies, only in the room temperature under that non-uniform heat source. How do you suggest to proceed? Can I model the volumes representing bodies as air with heat sources?Otherwise I'd need to model these volumes as solid, but I don't know any material properties! please advise! thanks
