Lower topology
Hi,
I have a simple model which has three rectangles.I meshed them individually and tried to link them which is a necessary case. When I do so I always get an error saying cannt be meshed because of lower topology is inconsistently linked. Please help me how to resolve this. Thanku, prem |
Re: Lower topology
prem,
When linking faces for periodic boundaries or edges for anything I: 1) clear all meshes from the faces or edges 2) link them making sure I have the correct directions(reverse orientation) 3) mesh 1 then watch it being copied over the way I expected, if not I relink them more carefully then try again Also all lower topology(rectangles, etc) to be linked must all have the same number of edges, vertices, faces, etc. But they don't actually need to be the same size. So you need to copy all extra vertices on any rectangles to all the others to make them identical. By doing these things you should get the hang of it pretty quick. Phil |
Re: Lower topology
Hey Prem,
It seams that you have two edges/faces in the same place. To solve this problem, in the geometry command button, choose edges/faces, and use the CONNECT option (second one from the top right under faces)to get rid of any unwanted (repeated) faces in the domain. Select the whole domain AT ONCE. You can perform this step with the mesh on. A messege should appear if you have this problem. Regards |
