CP values higher than 1 in fluent simulations

I'm simulating truck cabin and side rearview mirror in 3D using Fluent. The problem I'm facing is that the cp values at the front part (Stagnation) are higher than 1. Can anybody anhave the answe rfor that?

Re: CP values higher than 1 in fluent simulations

change reference velocity and area in solve>controls>reference values

Re: CP values higher than 1 in fluent simulations

there is no area or velocity given in Solve>controls>reference values

Re: CP values higher than 1 in fluent simulations

sorry its in report>reference values change the defaults to be specific to your case and the reporting will use these values in the calculation for cp, cl, cd etc

What value you get? much higher than 1? or very close (about 1.1/1.2) Luca

Re: CP values higher than 1 in fluent simulations

Its not that high. its around 1.13 and for some cases its around 1.1

yeah I know that, and I have used the values according to reference values of my problem

Re: CP values higher than 1 in fluent simulations

It could be a problem due to the mesh dicretization. I think that if you try to refine the mesh in that region the cp should get closer to 1. But remember: for compressible flow (Mach number higher than 0.3) the Cp is higher than 1. Luca

Yeah! ok Thnx, I'm checking it now.
