Hi I need to know how can fluent predict the static pressure at inlet depending on the velocity inlet boundary for a pipe flow? Is there anyone have any comments? knowing that i was use two phase flwo

Extrapolated from interior based on reconstruction gradients. These reconstruction gradients are calculated using Venkatakrishnan's limiter.

Dear Pam

Fluent calculate the pressure by solving the momentum eqquation (N.S.E) which contain the pr.gradient which is first drivative so it need one boundary condition most be specified in inlet or in outlet in your case you must choos the outlet B.C is pr. outlet so the fluent will solve the N.S.E and from it calculate the distribution of pr. I hhope this answer help you and if not please don't hestite to contact me

Thanks rosol to the answer. Actually FLUENT give me very less values of pressure gradient when I compared it with a paper in the same problem as mine knowing that I used the same BC that mentioned in that paper but the results still less can you tell me why?

May be due to the properties of fluids used .or the operating pr. used in the paper diffrent with which used by you or may be the paper define the pr. in absolute while fluent sue the gauge pr.

I think there are some thing wrog .since the results of fluent is correct if the B.C uesd are correct .Please check your case B.C , velocity inlet and other effective parameters .I hope you find the cause
