Hey there, I am as well trying to simulate the trajectory of particles in a spray dryer. I would really like to try this UDF so i could control my number of particles and have a better view of their trajectory. I would be very grateful if you could send it to me on umair35@gmail.com.
Thank you very much.
Regards,

Hello, I also do the same simulation, did you get the UDF for the case, if you had, would you like to share with me?

Hi,

You don't need a UDF. Go to Models -> Discrete phase -> Injections and set up your case. Initially there will be a dummy material as the injected particle. You can change it's properties under materials.

Hi All

I have a question regarding the injection of DEM particles into fluent.

Trying to model a spouting bed. The file I am reading has around 6million particles and trying to inject it within the first time step.

My question is whether the file reading process is done in parallel or serial, as it is currently take +3h for the particles to load? Is there a way to speed the process up, such as injecting it over a longer time period or reading different smaller files?

Regards
