Trouble with Tgrid Prisms

Hi,

I'm trying to grow a prism layer around a propeller in Tgrid. If I try to grow it over the blade, hub, and shaft it gives me a 'prism growth halted due to quality' error. If I limit it to the blade, then it grows; however, when I try to create a new domain so that I can tet mesh everything else, the auto-meshing fails telling me that there are 'no cell zones.' Hopefully this is just a stupid error on my part but has anyone had any experience with this?

Re: Trouble with Tgrid Prisms

quality problems come when u create prisms on junctions(acute angled)... try to change the offset and angle change to 70 ...

for the second part r u getting the error after prism creation or before that??? ... r u having a closed geometry???

Re: Trouble with Tgrid Prisms

The problem comes after prism growth and my geometry is open.

u should have a closed domain for TGrid mesh!!!!

Sorry, I misread your question; the domain is closed but it's an external flow.
