Engine cylinder by MDM
I try to use Fluent6, and to analyze it ..in the diesel engine cylinder...
The cylinder can be compressed by using Layring of MDM. However, when you apply the cavity model downward the cylinder It is displayed as negative cell volume detected, and the calculation stops.
To solve this problem, could you lend power?

your problem can be further solved only if the mesh generated is good.. to solve the problem u have use the valus of constant height or constant ratio factors effectively. See the manuals for the splitting theory . u also have to specify the cell size while the cavity moves in downward direction.. u can find it as Dyanmic Mesh> Zones> (select the cavity wall) go to last tab and specify the cell size (careful with units) hope this helps...
