Hi all, I am using Fluent to solve blood flow. I finish running the unsteady stage in Fluent. My goal is to get wall shear tress and wall shear stress temporal gradient of blood vessel. I know that Ensight software is good software for postprocessing as well as calculating some parameters.Can any one suggest me which software(Fluent or Ensight) should be used in next my work. If using fluent, how to get these parameter?Thanks in advance for any reply!

Wall shear stress is a standard output variable in Fluent. The temporal gradient is more tricky ... you will probably have to write out the values on the surfaces of interest to open format files for each timestep and then use a general purpose math program e.g. matlab to calculate the temporal gradients.

Hi Joe,can you tell me more detail about WSS? i tried to do but get into difficult. I want to calculate,distribute the WSS of series of points along the perimeter of specific surface(at each step time). Thanks you
