Default urgent problem

I am using Windows OS with 2GB of RAM of FLuent 6.18 i get a 'out of memory.malloc_storage: unable to malloc Density' errors when i initiliaze my domain for computation in fluent. can u help me ahmed

Get more RAM.

and/or

Create smaller meshes.

or use 64bit OS with more RAM to avoid going parallel. Or use parallel machines with shared memory. You need about 1Gb RAM for each 1 million cells (mainly for solve/post).

thanks but would you please explain to me in steps 1,2,3.. how i can use prallal system i mean how to connect the two computer to gether and how let the processing going on etc... thanks alo for your intentions

user guide fluent parrallel processor. If you have a dual core processor , you can already try with both of them on this computer.

For dual core or dual cpu machine you still need an additional parallel licence. One licence is required per Fluent process of which the first must be a serial licence. To spawn on the cpus start fluent with fluent 3d -t2 -pnet (t2 = 2 processes normally would be on 2 processors, -pnet is interconnect where net/socket is standard lan connection rate). pnet is good for up to about 10-15 cpu's. Bigger clusters need faster interconnects such as myrinet or infiniband otherwise message passing becomes the bottleneck and running such parallel jobs will be very slow.
