Obtaining fluid thermal conductivity

Dear all,

Hope someone can help me with this.

I have been trying to extract the cell fluid thermak conductivity with the macro:

C_K_EFF(c,t)

This macro was stated in the UDF manual. However, during compilation, a msg says that this macro requires 3 input. How come 3 inputs are required when only c & t needs to be specified?

If anyone know why or how to solve this, please help me.

Cheers, Woo

Re: Obtaining fluid thermal conductivity

Woo,

The actual call to get the effective thermal conductivity of the material in the cell is: C_K_EFF(c,t,prt) where prt is the turbulent Prandtl number.

Hope this helps.

Thank you. This is what I am looking for.

Can I find out more from you on where to obtain such information in the future. Manual etc.? as the fluent manual does not put this down.

Cheers.

Try the UDF manual that should come with Fluent. Looks like you can also find it here

Thank you. The version I had did not have the Prantl number printed.

Cheers.
