Obtaining fluid thermal conductivity
Dear all,
Hope someone can help me with this. I have been trying to extract the cell fluid thermak conductivity with the macro: C_K_EFF(c,t) This macro was stated in the UDF manual. However, during compilation, a msg says that this macro requires 3 input. How come 3 inputs are required when only c & t needs to be specified? If anyone know why or how to solve this, please help me. Cheers, Woo |
Re: Obtaining fluid thermal conductivity
Woo,
The actual call to get the effective thermal conductivity of the material in the cell is: C_K_EFF(c,t,prt) where prt is the turbulent Prandtl number. Hope this helps. m |
Re: Obtaining fluid thermal conductivity
Thank you. This is what I am looking for.
Can I find out more from you on where to obtain such information in the future. Manual etc.? as the fluent manual does not put this down. Cheers. |
Re: Obtaining fluid thermal conductivity
Try the UDF manual that should come with Fluent. Looks like you can also find it here

Re: Obtaining fluid thermal conductivity
Thank you. The version I had did not have the Prantl number printed.
Cheers. |
