Memory problem

Dear all,

I am using 4 GB Ram and Dual processor system, i am running one simulation in that cell count around 20 lacks, while running its giving error and exiting from the run. this is the error message i got.

iter continuity x-velocity y-velocity z-velocity time/iter

Error: 1000000: Failed to allocate 56.25MB memory (..\..\src\amgif.c:1064)

Error Object: ()

Re: Memory problem

do you use coupled solver? because coupled consumes more memory (around double the segregated solver)

have u activated both of the processor (you have dual)? because I read in a fluent newsletter, that you must activate both processor first.

Re: Memory problem

is there any suitable way to remove this error??...means find out the nodes of grid which will be sufficient according to memory ??

Re: Memory problem

there is unwitten rule that 1 GHz is for 1 million grids (for segregated), around 500.000 for coupled. but this number is just approximation
