Fixed bed gasification problem can be simulated with Fluent with application of Multiphase flows. Euler -Granular option would work but you need too write UDF to define heterogeneous reactions. There is another approach, which involves porous media formulation where you can assume matrix of which offers resistance to flow by adding a term in conservation equation. Porous media application is little simpler and use less computation power but you need sacrifice few things by making few assumptions such as thermal equillibrium between solid and gas. hope so it will helps you.
