Time Step Size

Hi,

I am running a flow past cylinder at Re=10000. I'd like to know how can I determine the eppropriate time step size to get the right drag, lift and vortex shedding. I notice when I cahnge my time step size from 1e-5 to 1e-4 my drag coefficient will change.

Thanks.

Re: Time Step Size

0.01 * Shedding period calculated from the Strouhal number is a good initial guess.

All times are GMT -4. The time now is 10:12.
