direction vectors for a curved shape
 

Hi

In my model I have a curved porous media, is it possible to define the vector direction for it or it has to be a straight line to get the vector direction.

Hi

You can use the arrow tool or specify the coordinates to specify the vector direction for any shape. But what I'm thinking of is that what if the shape is highly curved, say a semi sphere for example? Would the resistances (viscous and inertial) be axial if the vector direction is specified in a certain direction? If you have tried that already, did you get any error? Can you give more details about your case please?

HI, My case is the same as you said, but in 2D (half circle), so, the porous shape is not straight line to find the vector direction by the line tool. I dont know what to do?. The problem also is that i dont get any error message for setting the direction vector to any!!!!.
