importing from Solid Works
I am having trouble importing my solid works file. I have been successful doing this with older versions of Gambit, but v2.4 keeps telling me either a) 0 faces, 0 edges, 0 vertex have been imported or b)translation requires license feature geom-trans. Is it possible that the university's license file doesn't allow Solid Works importing? I have tried ACIS, Parasolid, IGES, Step files with no luck. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: importing from Solid Works
do you have to declare the flow volume in Solid Works? I can import the 3d drawing, but I can't seem to define the flow volume.
Have you tried using the solid works ad-on made by Fluent? I am having trouble with that as well. thanks |
Re: importing from Solid Works
I just imported the geometry on a step file into gambit. to continue with the meshing process there. Unfortunately I did not use anything else. Sorry.
