Hi there, I'm currently building a PC to run Fluent, and I was wondering if it is compatible with an AMD APU A8 3850 Quad Core CPU. Technical support said they do not recommend any particular CPUs so I have signed up to ask the community directly.
Thank you in Advance |

Fluent is not particularly CPU dependant. AMD or Intel will work just fine. Hardware capacity is problem/mesh dependant. Amount of RAM is generally more important than no/speed of CPU's

it is probably a more hardware section consideration, but i would not choose low-end, low - power, "office style" processors to perfrom cfd simulations. maybe intel i7 or amd buldozzer cpus are more suited for the job
