Default Skewed mesh simulations

Hi,

I could really use some advice on running simulations on a mesh that features skewed elements. I have ~3million elements in a tetrahedral mesh, of which 15 are highly skewed (>0.98). I can't run a simulation without converting these to polyhedra. But the simulation continually breaks down after ~30iterations and I have serious doubts about the solution accuracy. I am now running a laminar flow at reduced under-relaxation factor and courant number just to get anywhere with the simulation. I have serious doubts about the this approach as well.

Cheers, any help would be appreciated!

forget your solution with such high skewed cells. Try to get max high skewed cells around 0.9 (max. 0.95)

Try adaption of grid equiangle skewness and set maximum value.
