regine adapt problem

hi,all,

my model is a cylinder, there are 18440 cells. the z-axis range(0,0.005m).when z-axis range is (0,0.005m)in my region adaption, computer tell me:18440 cells marked for refinement, when z-axis range is(0,0.0025m),there are 18427 cells marked for refinement. WHY are not 9220 of the cells marked for refinement?

Re: regine adapt problem

what is your criteria for adaption in your case?

Are you trying to adapt based on the gradient of a variable?

adapt region criteria

Hi! When I do a grid adaption using the adapt--> region option, I bound a region of the domain I want to adapt, but, which criteria is applied to adapt the grid?? I mean, will it be devided in a certain number of cells, or is the pressure, velocity, temperature... the parameter taken into account??'

Thanks!!!
