hi all

I am getting an error while i read an already built data file on a new case file. The original case file on which this data was generated is having exactly same boundary conditions except that it has different names for those boundary conditions. The only difference between the old

and the new case file is that the new case file has more bifurcations in

its boundary but still the type of those boundaries is still same as the

previous one.

THe error it gives is, as soon as i read the data on the new build case is "read_thread_data_section: invalid thread id 9." "read_thread_data_section: invalid thread id 9." "read_thread_data_section: invalid thread id 9." "read_thread_data_section: invalid thread id 9." "read_thread_data_section: invalid thread id 9." "read_thread_data_section: invalid thread id 9." "read_thread_data_section: invalid thread id 9." "read_thread_data_section: invalid thread id 9." "read_thread_data_section: invalid thread id 9." "read_thread_data_section: invalid thread id 9."

pLz guide me wat does this error signifies

Regards Garima

Is this happening on a serial process or a parallel process. If you have written the data and case files on different processors, I would try writing both them using a serial and see if you have the same problems. I faced this when a parallel process is used. It was resolved when both of them are written using the same process.

While using the different process the thread id for the different zones changes most of the times in Fluent.
